BAT to EXE
The HP Palmtop Paper Once you've created a batch file you can compile it with BATLITE and turn it into a .COM file. There are several such programs like this on the market: this is The Best--hands down. The COM file will work slightly faster than the original batch file. Freeware from Belgium. Hard to find elsewhere.

Batch on the fly
The HP Palmtop Paper FLY creates and executes a batch file on the fly. If you have a dozen things to do, and you don't want to use an editor to make a batch file, just use fly, and enter your batch commands "on the fly". When your'e done, just hit carriage return, and fly will execute the batch file it has created. Freeware.

Batch Start
The HP Palmtop Paper ABATCH lets you easily create batch files to run your programs automatically and return you to a prompt "window" when your programs exit. It is fast and efficient and can run on either color or monochrome systems, though you must have ANSI.SYS running. We recommend the ANSI.COM program as a substitute. Freeware.

Choice
This archive contains a complete version of the CHOICE.LXB file described in The HP Palmtop Paper Programmers' Corner article. CHOICE.LXB is a LXBatch program that will allow your FILER to act more like Stereo Shell giving you a choice of what to do with files you select. There are also several files included so that you won't have to look all over your Palmtop for sample files to use when testing the CHOICE.LXB program.

DebugBatch
The HP Palmtop Paper Sometimes useful, sometimes flakey, the Batch Debug program will let you debug simple DOS batch files interactively. You can single-step through a knotty batch file and find out why it fails then correct the error in the built-in editor. The tutorials work fine, but back up everything before trying it with your own batch files. This is version 1.4 of this shareware product that is hard to find.

This is a small toolkit for use with the HP-Pygmy Forth. It assumes that you have the HP-Pygmy Rel. 2 and are reasonably familiar with the Forth language. It's meant to make it easier to create Forth apps with the look and feel of the LX's built-in programs or those created using PAL.

Icnvu
ICNVU is an icon utility program for the HP200LX. The original program was written by Gilles Kohl to show the usefulness of the PAL library for writing programs with the look and feel of the built-in software of the HP200LX. This source code has been modified by me to display 44 icons per page instead of 24. The program is freeware to all users of the HP200LX. PAL Date Dialog Item
PALDate contains source code for adding a date item to the dialog capabilities of PAL. The date item consists of an 11 character edit field that will allow a user to enter a date. By pressing the down arrow, the date can be selected from a calendar display. Freeware.
