DebugBatch

Version 1.4 · Armin Mueller

Download 107.5 KB

Description

The HP Palmtop Paper Sometimes useful, sometimes flakey, the Batch Debug program will let you debug simple DOS batch files interactively. You can single-step through a knotty batch file and find out why it fails then correct the error in the built-in editor. The tutorials work fine, but back up everything before trying it with your own batch files. This is version 1.4 of this shareware product that is hard to find.

How to install it

What to send to the palmtop saves 65.2 KB

These are the files you need. You can send them from the package contents below.

  • start.bat → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 20 B
  • tutor4.bat → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 2.7 KB
  • tutor1.bat → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 3.2 KB
  • tutor3.bat → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 1.7 KB
  • tutor2.bat → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 1.2 KB
  • batdebug.exe → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 84.6 KB

No need to put batdebug.doc, batdebug.hlp: they are manuals, source code or supporting material. Read them here and save 65.2 KB on a 1 MB disk.

Steps
  1. Copy start.bat, tutor4.bat, tutor1.bat, tutor3.bat to A:\SOFT. They are DOS programs: run them from the DOS icon, or add A:\SOFT to the PATH in C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT to call them by name.

Derived from the package contents and the 200LX conventions. It installs to A: on purpose: C: is a RAM disk and every byte there is memory taken from the system.

Send to my palmtop

The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
