HDM
HDM 2.1 DOS APPLICATION MANAGER (Jan. 24/96) I.Introduction. HDM is a DOS application manager which has the same graphical (windows) interface as the built-in Application Manager of the HP200LX. HDM can also run in DOS, and can handle up to 120 applications. You can specify the zoom mode, screen, serial port state, power management state, command line arguments and icon for every application installed. It also has some built-in utilities, such as battery setup & status, volume control, & system information screen.

Running This Program on the Desktop This program was designed to take advantage of the HP palmtop's graphics hardware. You can, however, run it on a desktop computer with a CGA or better display, using the INT5F driver which is included with this package. The INT5F driver emulates the HP's graphics mode, allowing you to run this program (and many others, especially those produced in recent years with the PAL library) on a desktop PC. INT5F has two modes: VGA and CGA. In CGA mode, it uses the CGA's 640x200 monochrome mode to emulate the HP's LCD.

Hebrew Fonts
The HP Palmtop Paper The HP Palmtop comes with an utility called KEYBEZ which gives foreign language support (even right-to-left text display for hebrew).But the resultant text uses the old DOS mapping for Hebrew. If you need to use the new ISO standard for Hebrew text, HEBPC is the program to use. Freeware.

HELV200 Euro font
This is the HELV200 helvetica font, which has an additional Euro sign at high-ASCII code 213 (generate with Alt-Menu-213). It is available for codepage 850 and codepage 437. This new version has a bugfix: It doen not vanish from memory anymore.

These files show you the Industrial Area "Am Neckar" at Heilbronn (D-74076). You may use them like a roadmap. I submitted them because this industial area is one of the largest in Baden-Württemberg. Now it is only the industrial area, because I thought it is useful to see the names of the streets on the map. I hope the size of the pcx-file will not blow up your expensive palmtop. Holidays
This file was created using a standard appointment calendar, and entering the information into the HP appointment book application. It can be merged with any existing appointment database by Menu - File - Merge (select drive and directory location, and HOLIDAYS.ADB), and the HP will automatically insert the data for year 1995. I have included US National holidays on a repeating basis through the year 2000. There are also major religious holidays, but you will note that most of these are only available for the year 1995, and do not repeat.

HPCRACK
HPCRACK is a password recovery utility for HP 200LX files. It will find the password for Database, Note, Phonebook, Appointment and World Time files. This program was written to show that the file password protection offered by the 200LX is not sufficient to protect highly sensitive data. The C source code is included so that interested parties might learn more about the file protection algorithm and possibly write something that will improve it. This utility is not meant to be used for malicious purposes. Use it at your own risk and please send comments to the author. Freeware.

The HP Palmtop Paper HLIST is a simple DOS HTML reader. It works in DOS text mode only and will read most HTML files stored on disk. It is not as fancy as HV. It doesn't do fonts and it doesn't handle links. It's most useful when you just want to peek into an HTM file to see what's there. Freeware.
