How to install it

What to send to the palmtop saves 27.2 KB

These are the files you need. You can send them from the package contents below.

  • 123G.EXM → A:\SOFT aplicación del System Manager 13.9 KB

No need to put 123G.DOC, 123G.HTM, 123GLOG.GIF, 123G.PCX: they are manuals, source code or supporting material. Read them here and save 27.2 KB on a 1 MB disk.

Steps
  1. Copy 123G.EXM to A:\SOFT. It is a System Manager application: register it in App Manager with F2 (Add), giving the full path (for example A:\SOFT\123G.EXM).
  2. The 200LX takes 8 EXM applications at most. Check with F8 (List) in App Manager: an asterisk in the Status column means the quota is full and you will need MoreEXM.

Derived from the package contents and the 200LX conventions. It installs to A: on purpose: C: is a RAM disk and every byte there is memory taken from the system.

It also needs 1

The manual mentions these files, which are in the archive:

The author's instructions
[Quick Start]

Standard installation requires MoreEXM and EXkey. You can
download these software from the data library of the HP
Handheld Forum (HPHAND) on CompuServe, or WWW page :
Palmtop Net (URL: http://www.palmtop.net/super.html).

First place your 123G.EXM to your preferred directory (A:\EXM\
in the following example) and add it to your MOREEXM.INI file
with any start key ({Alt+F9} in this example). Following is
an example:

    A:\EXM\123G.EXM,7000,1,123g
(Note: 7000 is a key scancode for {Alt+F9})

Then add following line to your EXKEY.INI:
    {Alt+Menu}={ALT+F9}

Reboot the system to make these changes to take effect.

Start 1-2-3. Then press {Alt+Menu}. A familiar menu bar,
common on all the internal PIM applications, will appear. If
you are familiar with the built-in applications, you do not
need any further instructions. Try any pull-down menu or any
function keys. Frequently used commands, such as 'copy' or
'move', are placed also on function keys.

[More Information on Installation]

Installation of 123g requires the addition of following two items:

  (a) Adding 123G.EXM to System Manager by MoreEXM.
  (b) Substitute a hot key with a more convenient position
      by EXkey or built-in key200.

Following example uses {ALT+F9} (keycode: 7000) as a hot key.

Send to my palmtop

The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
