The author's instructions
* installation instructions. * What is ASERCTL? This utility is a HP 100/200LX TSR that will allow control over the serial port power once it is installed. To turn power on press [ALT][+] at any time. To turn port power off, press [ALT][-] at any time. ASERCTL takes 352 bytes memory. Why do I need it? The 100/200LX is supplied with a small utility called SERCTL.COM to control the serial port from DOS. Unfortunately, the port setting in SETUP over-rides the action of this program. Also System Manager does not turn off the port when it is done with it when exiting cc:Mail or Datacomm. By properly managing power to the port, you can extend your battery life up to 20%. System Manager does have a 15 minute timeout on the power to the serial port if it is unused. This feature is not disconnected by using ASERCTL. INSTALLATION:

Send to my palmtop
The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
Your browser cannot talk to the serial port. Direct sending uses the Web Serial API, which only exists in Chrome, Edge and Opera on desktop — not in Firefox, Safari or any mobile browser.
Download the file with the button above and copy it to the palmtop your usual way.
