Description

SWLX V1.2 - ILGRadio to .GDB Bridging Package ILGRadio http://www.ilgradio.com currently provides data to Shortwave listeners for non-commercial use. At the time of this writing, there is no charge for this service. To use this data effectively on the HP Palmtops, an import filter is required to get the data into the HPLX Database format. SWLX serves this need. The author of SWLX grants permission to use this software for non-commercial purposes without charge. Warning ILGRadio has invested time and energy to gather the information available in their database.

How to install it

What to send to the palmtop saves 5.6 KB

These are the files you need. You can send them from the package contents below.

  • Swlx.exe → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 53.6 KB
  • swempty.gdb → A:\DATOS fichero de datos 23.9 KB
  • Convert.bat → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 108 B

No need to put Readme.txt, Presets.txt: they are manuals, source code or supporting material. Read them here and save 5.6 KB on a 1 MB disk.

Steps
  1. Copy Swlx.exe, Convert.bat to A:\SOFT. They are DOS programs: run them from the DOS icon, or add A:\SOFT to the PATH in C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT to call them by name.
  2. Data files are opened from their own application, not installed separately.

Derived from the package contents and the 200LX conventions. It installs to A: on purpose: C: is a RAM disk and every byte there is memory taken from the system.

Send to my palmtop

The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
