How to install it

What to send to the palmtop saves 214.7 KB

These are the files you need. You can send them from the package contents below.

  • RPM.INI → A:\_DAT configuración 1.6 KB
  • DELPROJ.BAT → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 347 B
  • README.BAT → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 20 B
  • RPM.EXE → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 308.2 KB
  • DO.BAT → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 17 B

No need to put README.1ST, TUTORIAL.PRJ, CANADA.CAL, USA.CAL, HOLIDAYS.CAN, ASCII.DEF, GANTT.DEF, GANTT_HP.DEF and 30 more: they are manuals, source code or supporting material. Read them here and save 214.7 KB on a 1 MB disk.

Steps
  1. Copy DELPROJ.BAT, README.BAT, RPM.EXE, DO.BAT to A:\SOFT. They are DOS programs: run them from the DOS icon, or add A:\SOFT to the PATH in C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT to call them by name.
  2. Copy RPM.INI to A:\_DAT, where the 200LX looks for configuration. Open it with Memo and adjust it before use.
  3. If you edit a configuration file on the palmtop, make sure you leave a newline at the end: some programs swallow the last line without saying a word.

Derived from the package contents and the 200LX conventions. It installs to A: on purpose: C: is a RAM disk and every byte there is memory taken from the system.

The author's instructions
be setup, for example, so that if Jim Smith was also designated as an
architect, his utilization on any given project would be removed from
the availability of architects for other projects.

In addition, RPM produces presentation quality reports, including
resource utilization curves and Gantt (bar) charts. Reports can be
written to file as Lotus files to produce spreadsheet based graphs, if
desired. Also, the ASCII import facility means that RPM can be updated
automatically from many financial/project accounting/staff time sheet
systems.

For projects that have not begun, a percent likelihood of actually doing
the work can be assigned to the project. Thus, expected values of future
work can be estimated in both hours and dollars.

THE SHAREWARE VERSION

This RPM Shareware version is fully functional in all respects except you
are limited to 20 projects and 20 resources. The Professional Version can
handle hundreds of resources and projects within 640 KB RAM and utilizes
EMM to increase project/resource capacity even further.

Just type RPM at the DOS prompt. If you are using a monochrome monitor,
you may need to type RPM -m.

Send to my palmtop

The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
