How to install it

What to send to the palmtop saves 6.0 KB

No need to put MAIZZELS.TXT: they are manuals, source code or supporting material. Read them here and save 6.0 KB on a 1 MB disk.

Steps
  1. This package has no recognisable executables. Download it and look at its contents: it may be documentation, source code or supporting material.

Derived from the package contents and the 200LX conventions. It installs to A: on purpose: C: is a RAM disk and every byte there is memory taken from the system.

It also needs 1

The manual mentions these files, which are in the archive:

TIPS

IMPORTANT, GOING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN SESSIONS WILL NOT
WORK AND RESULT IN CORRUPT FILES UNLESS YOU USE THE VERSION
OF CAROUSEL.PGM VER 7.07 AVAILABLE ON REQUEST FROM THADDEUS
COMPUTING TO REGISTERED USERS OF SOFTWARE CAROUSEL.

Tor some reason the SC1.COM files only do the start up on the
first opening of the sessions. if you close the session and
then open the session, you have to use the system macros to
open the applications, or you could click on the appropriate
.COM file from FILER (be careful that you are in the session
that your are "clicking" on)

When making the system macro file to open the various
applications, do not use the "hot keys" to start them (ie.
don't use "b" to start database...rather do as follows:

Use f6 to get the "key" while in macros & to bring up the
icon screen fn+home to get to the "top left corner of the
screen" NOW...use the use the arrows to "scroll over to the
application you want to start enter to get into the
application f9 to enter the name of the application to open
<type in the file name with complete path> enter f10 to save

REMEMBER TO save the "modified" macro file.

This process works more slowly when using "a:" as the main drive

Non carousel users should be able to take advantage of this
utility instead of starting the system manager with "200" in
…

The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
