Description

The HP Palmtop Paper An older but smaller version of the famous Galaxy editor/word processor. The archive does not contain any documentation file. However the built in help will let you explore most of the features of this program. It works on the Palmtop. Later versions of the program have more features. Shareware.

How to install it

What to send to the palmtop saves 304.8 KB

These are the files you need. You can send them from the package contents below.

  • GALAXY.EXE → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 69.4 KB
  • MAKEPRD.COM → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 14.1 KB
  • INSTALL.EXE → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 56.1 KB

No need to put GALAXY.MAC, GALAXY.MSG, GALMAIN.DIC, GALRAM.DIC, READ.ME, UPDATE.DOC, ALPS200.PRD, ANDX60CS.PRD and 29 more: they are manuals, source code or supporting material. Read them here and save 304.8 KB on a 1 MB disk.

Steps
  1. Copy GALAXY.EXE, MAKEPRD.COM, INSTALL.EXE to A:\SOFT. They are DOS programs: run them from the DOS icon, or add A:\SOFT to the PATH in C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT to call them by name.

Derived from the package contents and the 200LX conventions. It installs to A: on purpose: C: is a RAM disk and every byte there is memory taken from the system.

Send to my palmtop

The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
