Description

The HP Palmtop Paper This archive/ directory contains a full, working version of TeX for the Palmtop. The only documentation is that provided in the TeX article in The HP Palmtop Paper Nov/Dec, 1998. Just create an A:\EMTEX directory on your flash card and transfer all the files, including those in the subdirectories to the flashcard. MENU.EXE will start the program. Freeware. No need to put DJ.CNF, DJPRN.CNF, DJPRNBAK.CNF, DVIDRV.ERR, DVIHPLJ.DLG, DVISCR.DLG, EMTEXLXB.LXB, README.DOC and 220 more: they are manuals, source code or supporting material. Read them here and save 3.0 MB on a 1 MB disk.

Steps
  1. Copy COMPILE.BAT, DELETE.BAT, DVIHPLJ.EXE, DVISCRS.EXE to A:\SOFT. They are DOS programs: run them from the DOS icon, or add A:\SOFT to the PATH in C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT to call them by name.
  2. The .ICN files are icons: they go in the same folder as their application.

Derived from the package contents and the 200LX conventions. It installs to A: on purpose: C: is a RAM disk and every byte there is memory taken from the system.

When you unpack the archive file, you will get the following

Send to my palmtop

The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
