The HP Palmtop Paper BIG and BIBMONO were originally designed for visually challenged people to let them read text on the screen of their computer. They turn out to be somewhat useful on the Palmtop and will outzoom ZOOM for DOS only text programs. Shareware.

x" to install BIGMONO, where x is the delay in milliseconds. The parameter x can be any positive integer. ACTIVE KEYS When BIGMONO has been activated by hitting the hot keys, only the keys on the keypad, the tab key, and the ESC key are activated. The active key combinations are as follows: ESC: This key leaves the scan mode, reactivates the key board, and returns you to the DOS prompt or application. [NOTE: In moving through a document with the cursor keys, think of the keys as they relate to how you would move your eyes, NOT how the words would move.] LEFT ARROW: This key scrolls the scan window to the left toward the start of the row. If you try to go beyond the start of the row, a tone will sound and the scan window will move no further. RIGHT ARROW: This key scrolls the scan window to the right toward the end of the row. When you reach the end of the row, a tone will sound and the last eight characters will be displayed. If you try to go beyond the end of the row, a tone will sound and the scan window will move to the beginning of the next row. If you are on the bottom row, however, you will be returned to DOS or your application if you try to scan past the end of the line. LEFT (OR SHIFTED-)TAB: This is the same as the left arrow except that the movement is eight characters to the left. If you attempt to go beyond the beginning of the line, a tone will sound and the scan window will move no further. RIGHT (OR UNSHIFTED-)TAB: This is the same as the right arrow except that the movement is eight characters to the right. If you attempt to tab past the end of the line, a tone will sound and the scan window will move to the beginning of the next line. If you attempt to scan past the end of the last row, however, …

The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
Your browser cannot talk to the serial port. Direct sending uses the Web Serial API, which only exists in Chrome, Edge and Opera on desktop — not in Firefox, Safari or any mobile browser.
Download the file with the button above and copy it to the palmtop your usual way.
