Description

User's Guide BATTLOG (Battery Voltage Logger/Viewer) Version 1.4 (superseding Version 1.2) [1] What is BATTLOG? BATTLOG is a combination of two programs, BATTLOG.COM and BATTLOG.EXM. BATTLOG.COM is a DOS TSR program, which monitors the voltage of the two battery sets of the HP 200LX and records it in a log file at 5 minute interval. (Measurement is done at 10 second interval and the average, minimum and maximum of 30 readings - 5 minutes worth - are calculated and written to C:\BATTLOG.LOG) BATTLOG.EXM is a system manager compliant program for viewing of this log file in graphic presentation.

How to install it

What to send to the palmtop saves 11.5 KB

These are the files you need. You can send them from the package contents below.

  • BATTLOG.COM → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 4.2 KB
  • BATTLOG.EXM → A:\SOFT aplicación del System Manager 41.2 KB

No need to put BATTLOG.DOC: they are manuals, source code or supporting material. Read them here and save 11.5 KB on a 1 MB disk.

Steps
  1. Copy BATTLOG.EXM to A:\SOFT. It is a System Manager application: register it in App Manager with F2 (Add), giving the full path (for example A:\SOFT\BATTLOG.EXM).
  2. The 200LX takes 8 EXM applications at most. Check with F8 (List) in App Manager: an asterisk in the Status column means the quota is full and you will need MoreEXM.
  3. Copy BATTLOG.COM to A:\SOFT. They are DOS programs: run them from the DOS icon, or add A:\SOFT to the PATH in C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT to call them by name.

Derived from the package contents and the 200LX conventions. It installs to A: on purpose: C: is a RAM disk and every byte there is memory taken from the system.

The author's instructions

Send to my palmtop

The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
