Description

These spreadsheets, macros, and files are tools to convert GPS waypoints between formats used by the LXGPS program for the HP200LX and a download program called GARDOWN. It also provides capabilities to allow the user to manage and view waypoints using LXGPS. See the README file for more details. Freeware.

What to send to the palmtop saves 20.9 KB

These are the files you need. You can send them from the package contents below.

No need to put WAYPOINT.GPS, README.TXT, GPS.MAC, 00000WPT.PRN, README.1ST, DESCRIPT.TXT, MY.WAY, DIRLIST.TXT: they are manuals, source code or supporting material. Read them here and save 20.9 KB on a 1 MB disk.

Steps
  1. Copy DOWNLOAD.BAT, README.BAT, UPLOAD.BAT to A:\SOFT. They are DOS programs: run them from the DOS icon, or add A:\SOFT to the PATH in C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT to call them by name.
  2. The .WK1 worksheets are not installed: open them from Lotus 1-2-3 with Menu → File → Retrieve.

Derived from the package contents and the 200LX conventions. It installs to A: on purpose: C: is a RAM disk and every byte there is memory taken from the system.

Send to my palmtop

The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
