How to install it

What to send to the palmtop saves 103.9 KB

These are the files you need. You can send them from the package contents below.

  • FRGLOB.EXE → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 67.1 KB
  • CHECKIT.EXE → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 43.6 KB
  • FEN1GLOB.EXE → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 26.0 KB
  • FENTENT.EXE → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 123.1 KB
  • FENT.BAT → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 1.2 KB

No need to put FREXTRA, MANUAL.DOC, ORDER.ENT, FORDER.ENT, FRORDER.ENT, README, FILE_ID.DIZ: they are manuals, source code or supporting material. Read them here and save 103.9 KB on a 1 MB disk.

Steps
  1. Copy FRGLOB.EXE, CHECKIT.EXE, FEN1GLOB.EXE, FENTENT.EXE to A:\SOFT. They are DOS programs: run them from the DOS icon, or add A:\SOFT to the PATH in C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT to call them by name.

Derived from the package contents and the 200LX conventions. It installs to A: on purpose: C: is a RAM disk and every byte there is memory taken from the system.

			    SECTION I

		      ALL NECESSARY INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: This is a thick manual, but do not be dismayed. You only
need to read the first eleven pages, and most of that is light
	reading.

The program is easy to use, and there are hardly any instructions
	to learn.

	IF YOU'RE IN A HURRY...

You MUST read "Translator Instructions" (one page), and you really
should read "Practice Sentences". Then type "FENT" and go.
ENTER makes it translate, TAB switches to French input, and ESC
stops it. If you also read "A Session Using Entente" it will save
	time in the long run.

			INTRODUCTION

Entente is a controversial product: a conversational translator program.
Conventional wisdom has it that a translator Cannot Be Done. I believe that
this program shows that it Can Be Done, at a level that allows reasonable and
useful communication on any topic. Now you can find out whether you agree,

Send to my palmtop

The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
