Description

Here is a new version, DP26A. It includes file DP26A.EXE (which should be renamed to DP.EXE when you install it,) DP.SYS, DATA.MSG DPEXP.COM, DPIMP.COM, and STE-MGR.COM. I believe these are now all synchronized for features. This new version of DP includes a fix for the bug in DP255E and two new functions, LOWER.CASE[arg] and ICAPS[arg]. (This last function capitalizes the first letter of each word.) DPEXP and DPIMP both have a new command line flag /Q which stands for "quick." The displayed text is markedly shorter, which increases the speed dramatically on today's newer machines.

Description extracted automatically from the documentation inside the package: this entry was not in the original catalogue.

How to install it

What to send to the palmtop saves 164.2 KB

These are the files you need. You can send them from the package contents below.

  • DP.SYS → A:\SOFT driver, necesita línea en CONFIG.SYS 168.5 KB
  • DP26A.EXE → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 169.2 KB
  • DPIMP.COM → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 50.1 KB
  • DPEXP.COM → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 42.4 KB
  • STE-MGR.COM → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 43.3 KB

No need to put DATA.MSG, README.TXT: they are manuals, source code or supporting material. Read them here and save 164.2 KB on a 1 MB disk.

Steps
  1. DP.SYS is a driver: add DEVICE=A:\SOFT\DP.SYS to C:\CONFIG.SYS and reboot with Ctrl+Alt+Del.
  2. Copy DP26A.EXE, DPIMP.COM, DPEXP.COM, STE-MGR.COM to A:\SOFT. They are DOS programs: run them from the DOS icon, or add A:\SOFT to the PATH in C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT to call them by name.

Derived from the package contents and the 200LX conventions. It installs to A: on purpose: C: is a RAM disk and every byte there is memory taken from the system.

Send to my palmtop

The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
