4DOS is a COMMAND.COM replacement (also runs on top of command.com on the HPLX), bringing many of the latest command line extensions found in current DOS versions (and even Windows NT) to those, who are bound to a particular DOS version such as the outdated MS-ROMDOS 5.0 built into the pallmtops.
