Hangman for LX

Estos son los ficheros que necesitas. Puedes enviarlos desde el contenido del paquete.

• HANGMAN.DAT → A:\_DAT configuración 3.6 KB
• HANGMAN.EXE → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 53.7 KB
• HANGMAN.ICN → A:\SOFT icono, junto a su aplicación 200 B

No hace falta llevar al palmtop HANGMAN.DOC: son manuales, código fuente o material de apoyo. Léelos aquí y ahórrate 3.2 KB en un disco de 1 MB.

1. Copia HANGMAN.EXE a A:\SOFT. Son programas de DOS: se ejecutan desde el icono DOS, o añadiendo A:\SOFT al PATH de C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT para poder llamarlos por su nombre.
2. Copia HANGMAN.DAT a A:\_DAT, que es donde el 200LX busca la configuración. Ábrelo con Memo y ajústalo antes de usarlo.
3. Si editas un fichero de configuración en el palmtop, asegúrate de dejar un salto de línea al final: hay programas que se comen la última línea sin avisar.
4. Los .ICN son iconos: van en la misma carpeta que su aplicación.

Deducido del contenido del paquete y de las convenciones del 200LX. Se instala en A: a propósito: C: es un disco RAM y cada byte ahí resta memoria al sistema.

Installing Hangman

Simply unzip HANGMAN.ZIP and place both the .EXE and .DAT files in the same
directory.



Playing Hangman

If you're starting HANGMAN from within system-manager and you find nothing
happens, you may have to press a key to get it going. This does not happen when
you run HANGMAN outside system-manager so you may prefer to terminate system-
manager before running HANGMAN (&... MENU A T ENTER).

Once you've got HANGMAN going simply key in the right letters and solve the
word before the 'poor fella dangling on the end of the rope has the box pulled
out from under him'.

You can change categories at any time while playing HANGMAN. At anytime during
your game you feel the score doesn't reflect your true IQ then press F9 Restart
to reset the score and startover again.



Editing HANGMAN.DAT

Although HANGMAN.EXE has 114 words built-in you may wish to add your own words
and categories to make it more relevant to your interests or even help you
learn a foreign language.

Using any text editor, you can add or delete words and categories from the
list. You are allowed a maximum of 6 categories and each category is limited
to about 350 words.

Using the following format for adding a new category:

       /Category name
       Word
       Word
       .                  Category names can be up to 7 characters in length
       .                  Words can be up to 16 characters in length
       Word
       /Category name
       Word

HANGMAN.ZIP to see how its done.
