Node 26

Description

This archive contains NODe, a small and easy to use database program which I have once written for a local church community. It runs on DOS, FreeBSD, and HP1000CX palmtop computers. The latest version can be found in the 'projects' section at http://www.homepages.de/home/nmh/ WHAT'S NEW? In Release 2.6, a template hot list has been added, some minor bugs have been fixed, and the report writer has been slightly improved (fixed field lengthes, page size, paper eject). A cut and paste function has been added to edit boxes and the help messages have been updated.

Description extracted automatically from the documentation inside the package: this entry was not in the original catalogue.

How to install it

What to send to the palmtop saves 13.5 KB

These are the files you need. You can send them from the package contents below.

  • node-prg.exe → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 56.4 KB
  • node.bat → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 481 B
  • files.com → A:\SOFT programa de DOS 144 B

No need to put bugs, license, readme, intro.db, node-opt, intro.x: they are manuals, source code or supporting material. Read them here and save 13.5 KB on a 1 MB disk.

Steps
  1. Copy node-prg.exe, node.bat, files.com to A:\SOFT. They are DOS programs: run them from the DOS icon, or add A:\SOFT to the PATH in C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT to call them by name.

Derived from the package contents and the 200LX conventions. It installs to A: on purpose: C: is a RAM disk and every byte there is memory taken from the system.

Send to my palmtop

The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
