Steps

Derived from the package contents and the 200LX conventions. It installs to A: on purpose: C: is a RAM disk and every byte there is memory taken from the system.
The author's instructions
To install the TSR, copy FASTDB.TSR into your C:\_DAT directory, and reboot your HP 100/200LX. REMEMBER TO CLOSE YOUR APPLICATIONS FIRST BEFORE REBOOTING!!!! As soon as your machine comes back up, it's loaded! (Pretty simple, huh?) Andy's really-tiresome-but-emotionally-if-not-legally- necessary-boilerplate Disclaimer: This program has been "tested" (i.e. it doesn't crash) on a very small handful of machines. Mine, and a couple of the CompuServe Team HP people to be exact. Although the code is pretty simple, and no-one has experienced problems, BACK UP YOUR DATABASES BEFORE USING THIS PROGRAM!!!!!! This is obviously a common-sense precaution, but since I get emotionally attached to people who ruin their lives, one I feel I need to state. Okay, so I'm paranoid. And this will probably never cause problems. And you'll probably be a lot happier if you use it. But at least if your database file comes up corrupted, and I discover that one time out of a million it does bad things, I can say "I TOLD YOU SO--GET THAT VILE THING OUT OF MEMORY RIGHT NOW!" There. I feel better. Thanks for indulging me. --Andy

Send to my palmtop
The palmtop must be waiting before you press the button, or the transfer will fail. It is the palmtop that announces it is ready, not the other way round.
Your browser cannot talk to the serial port. Direct sending uses the Web Serial API, which only exists in Chrome, Edge and Opera on desktop — not in Firefox, Safari or any mobile browser.
Download the file with the button above and copy it to the palmtop your usual way.
