No hace falta llevar al palmtop NISTIMEW.DOC: son manuales, código fuente o material de apoyo. Léelos aquí y ahórrate 2.9 KB en un disco de 1 MB.

1. Copia NISTIMEW.EXE, NISTIM32.EXE a A:\SOFT. Son programas de DOS: se ejecutan desde el icono DOS, o añadiendo A:\SOFT al PATH de C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT para poder llamarlos por su nombre.

Deducido del contenido del paquete y de las convenciones del 200LX. Se instala en A: a propósito: C: es un disco RAM y cada byte ahí resta memoria al sistema.

Installation

     The program file is named nistimew.exe.  This is the only file that is
needed.  It can be copied to any directory on your system.  You can run it by
selecting the Program Manager command "Run ..." (on the File menu) and
entering the command line:

     <path>\nistimew

where <path> is the name of the directory where you have placed the file
nistimew.exe.  If you have copied the program to c:\time, for example, you
would enter:

     c:\time\nistimew

You can also install an icon for this program using the "New" option on the
program manager File menu.  When you select this option, complete the command
line box with the path to the program file and its name.  Using the example
above, you would fill in this box with the string:

     c:\time\nistimew

The other boxes are optional; you may use them to add a text string to the
icon, etc.  Once you have installed the program in this way, you can run it by
double-clicking on its icon.

If you add the word "Once" to the command line (without the quotes and using
any mixture of upper- and lower-case letters), then the program will query the
NIST server once each time it is started, set your clock (if necessary), and
exit after the clock has been set.  The program will use the configuration you
have saved (if this file exists) or the default configuration if no previously
saved configuration can be found.  Look at "HELP | Getting Started" for more
